Saturday adventures are always a blast! Myrel and I started the day off bright and early hiking up Waahila Ridge where we were met with an absolutely gorgeous view of downtown Honolulu. This trail is probably one of my favorites now, with a perfect blend of heart pumping cardio, gorgeous views and lush trees.
Post hike, we stopped by Yogurstory for the first time ever. I was really excited to try this place out after hearing such great reviews about the food. What first caught my eye was the chic interior with open balcony seating on the second floor, definitely a super cute place to catch up with the girls. Now to the important part, food. The red velvet waffles were tasty, not overly sweet like some other restaurants. My favorite part of the meal through was the 'Eggs La Jolla', it was like taking a bite of breakfast heaven. Maybe that's because I was a starving hiker or the fact that I have some strange obsession with eating fried eggs every weekend, but it tasted
de-lish! I'll have to come back another time to check out more of the menu, especially this froyo menu my brother keeps talking about!
The final stop of the day was the lily pond and Barwick playground. Oh how I've missed this place. I could spend hours feeding fish and running around here. Coming back always gives me a sense of nostalgia and renews my inspiration to follow those far fetched dreams I once had as a kid.
