SHOCHAN HIROSHIMAYAKI

Unexpected finds always brighten my day!

Honolulu, HI 96815

After debating where to eat for what seemed like forever we finally decided to try a new family-run okonomiyaki restaurant, Shochan Hiroshimayaki. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from this place as okonomiyaki is a relatively simple Japanese dish that can easily be made at home. Based on fellow yelpers reviews, I decided to try the Okonomiyaki Hiroshima style with mochi and cheese. It was simply delicious, a beautiful blend of fried noodles, vegetables, pork, mochi and cheese served on a sizzling hot platter. Add in a chilled bottle of Asahi extra dry and you have the perfect mouth-watering, stomach satisfying comfort meal. An added bonus is that Shochan Hiroshimayaki has a stamp card, rewarding one free okonomiyaki with every ten stamps, Wednesdays and Thursdays are double stamp days too!
