Mariner's Ridge

Hawaii hiking.

The problem with forgetting to update is that I have a poop load of posts going up all at once -_- But in response to my alternative exercise, I've started following a couple of hiker's blogs recently - i'll post the links below. I enjoy reading one blogger so much that I've decided to follow his hiking adventures for myself! According to this blogger, he suggests starting with Mariner's Ridge - the shortest and easiest hike on the Ko'olau Summit, so that's where I began!

Starting at the top of a residential hill in Hawaii Kai, Mariner's Ridge is the perfect beginners hike to get you ready for the hiking season! It's a decent workout to the top where you are met with gorgeous views of the East side of Oahu. I enjoy hiking in the early morning when the air is still cool and working up an appetite for lunch. After hiking Mariner's Ridge, you can drive down to Koko Marina for a (healthy) bite to eat:

Grilled Eggplant from Greek Marina

Chicken Gyro from Greek Marina

Assorted Mochi Ice Cream from Bubbies
