healthy living

Whole Foods Kailua

 Locally grown island produce!

Bulk foods pantry, one of my favorite parts of the store

 Fresh peanut butter, amazing!

A touch of Hawaii, Poke Bar.

Pizza from the pizza, beer, and wine bar!

Electric charging station courtesy of RevoluSun.

I finally got to check out the new Whole Foods Kailua today and I must say I was extremely impressed! The store is stocked with a variety of fresh and healthy eats. The prices are a tad bit more than your typical grocery store, but maybe that's the price for eating healthy.

Depending on how the electricity is generated, electric cars are extremely promising. I'm still a little skeptical considering a majority of the electricity in the U.S. is generated using coal, but these cars are definitely a step towards a more energy efficient future. Hawaii has been great about investing in alternative energy and energy efficient technology. The charging station located outside of Whole Foods is a great, environmentally friendly charging station as RevoluSun specializes in solar powered energy (my favorite)!

Overall the new Whole Foods is a great addition to the Kailua community. Hopefully, the opening of Whole Foods will encourage people to eat healthier and raise environmental awareness.
