1. Revamp my bedroom -
Reasoning: I've never really felt "at home" in my bedroom so I've decided to do some decorating and restyling this summer. Hopefully all my efforts will give my room a more homey feeling since I will be living at home for a while.
Status: On-going, planning
New developments: I've finally picked a color for my wall after so many months of indecision. I think my parents are glad now that they can stop returning all my cans of paint, heh.

I've always loved shades of blue and lately I've been really inspired by nature. So I've decided to go with a light blue with a slight tint of green to give my room a nice whimsical feeling inspired by mermaids and the ocean.
Next step: Start cleaning my room
2. Design and plant a garden -
Reasoning: Home gardens are not only beautiful but also environmentally friendly and sustainable! When I was younger I remember that I would spend hours and hours outside in my yard - kicking a soccer ball around, playing with my dog, or running around with my brothers. As I grew older, my time playing outside significantly decreased. Now days I rarely spend any time outside, so hopefully planting a garden will allow me to spend more time outside!

New Developments: My plants have been coming down with some diseases lately and I'm not sure why. I have a feeling that there is some kind of pest in the yard where I currently house them. Because of these recent developments and the inspiration from seeing another blog, I've decided to go with some sort of raised garden bed.

Next Step: Design a layout for my new garden.
I'm really excited to start coming up with a design for the raised garden bed and arbor, which i'll most likely need a bit of help on *HINT HINT*. This project will give me a chance to utilize some of my engineering skills, especially the math aspect I really miss and enjoy (maybe I, or most likely my trusty helper, can even throw in a little solidworks hah)!
